Boom Town Kicks of the 2021 Holiday Season

Please join us as we welcome Donna Lamb Bowyer and Don Bowyer as the guest artists for Boom Town’s kick-off of the 2021 holiday season!

Donna and I met over 35 years ago in Huntsville through mutual family connections. We’ve kept up with each other, with me living vicariously through Donna and husband Don’s travels to faraway places—most recently, Malaysia.

When entering Malaysia, Donna and Don had to spend 14 days in quarantine before re-entering the country. Realizing she needed something to pass the time, Donna, a self-taught artist, began painting with watercolor and pastels.

During quarantine, “Donna’s Lockdown Art Project – Food for the Soul 2020-2021” emerged. Donna is sharing her body of work with BoomTown on Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 10-2 pm CST. Prints, postcards, and note cards will be included for sale ($4-$20) in the collection of a dozen or more original works (Priced from $75 to $500).

Don, an educator, and musician will join Donna, treating guests to some fun trombone tunes!

Please read their bios below and join us this Saturday for refreshments, entertainment, and ART!
