Jo Peterson grew up all over the country, as a child of a military family, but spent most of her adult life in Birmingham. After loving it there for 36 years, she loves her life even more on Lookout Mountain, after settling here in 2017. She’s been making natural soaps and bath & body products for almost two decades. “I love the creative and artistic synergy of the process, but the most rewarding thing is the customer feedback: when someone finds joy in a scent or great benefit for their skin in a product. That is my best reward”. Jo makes her products in small batches, and enjoys using ingredients sourced from her mountain land overlooking Shinbone Valley.
