Melinda Whitt

Melinda Whitt is a local jewelry artist born and raised in Birmingham. Her work includes designs constructed from torchworked glass, fused glass, enamels, copper, and brass. She is the daughter of an engineer and a high school art teacher/watercolor artist, and her works blend creativity and color with an eye to precision and order. Metal work includes acid etching, patina, and other finishes. Hand torched glass beads, vintage tin, and wire work embellish some of her pieces. She takes special pride in making most of the components in her designs, which include necklaces, pendants, bracelets, and earrings.
