Doretha Holbert

I am an acrylic mixed media artist. I have honed my skills as an acrylic painter, and my painting style has evolved from impressionism to mixed media. I have also combined my painting skills with the use of broken glass and discarded items. Glass shards and other found objects are incorporated into the design and finished with an epoxy resin. Natural products such as leaves, pine cones, twigs, dried flowers, and driftwood are used in my artwork. The supply of items that wash up from storms keeps me inspired to create art from what some may find to be trash.  My Motto: Don’t look at things for what they are, but what they may become!
