Lily Payne

Lily is an Open Impressionism landscape artist based in Dahlonega, GA. Her love of the outdoors was sparked while growing up in Jacksonville, FL next to the sea and near state parks. She started painting at an early age and has been fascinated by color throughout her life. After a career as a professional singer for 30 years, Lily moved to north Georgia, where the stunning scenery inspired her to express her love of nature through painting.

“As I paint, I transport myself into the painting as if I were there, feeling the breeze on my skin and the sun on my face,” she says. “I feel the mist of a waterfall and hear tree branches in the wind. Here, everything is peaceful.”
