Art in the Alley

On the first Thursday of each month, downtown Fort Payne comes alive with art, music, food, and people as we showcase the lifestyle assets of our area, and build upon those things to create synergistic-connectivity. Why? The Answer: To develop and enhance kinetic energy and Economic Vitality through public arts and community participation for locals as well as out of town visitors.

An initiative of Boom Town Makers Market, which is a project of Landmarks, the Historic Association of Dekalb County, (501c3), in conjunction with partners, Fort Payne Main Street, the Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce, Dekalb County Tourist Association, and the City of Fort Payne, these organizations work toward the common goals of local prosperity and community growth.

We welcome all downtown businesses to participate by hosting a reception, open house, offering specials and being open during this festive time. Our goal is to focus on the allure of our alleys, lighted with festival lights, showcasing art – and all of the cool stuff we have going on in downtown Fort Payne. #Alabama’sMountainTown #TightlyWovenPerfectFit
