Art Lafranchise

Fine artist Art Lafranchise was born in MA and spent most free time enjoying wildlife and loving nature. Painting was a way to enjoy some of those times indoors during rough winter weather and from childhood it developed into a lifelong passion. Studied under many professionals throughout high school and college. As a young adult he moved to the Virgin Islands for a season in 1984 and it ended up as his primary residence. In 2020 allurement to Alabama opened up a whole new chapter. Spending many months in recent years discovering the magnificent landscapes, waterfalls, creatures and overall charm it has to offer. It has developed into another endless wonder of subject matter. Working in all types of visual arts, signs, displays and as an art director/production designer in television and motion picture production, fine art painting is favored and is the true challenge and passion. Most paintings are acrylic or oil and wildlife, natural, historic monumental and maritime scenes including translucency and reflections are a favorite subject matter.
